Our Organization

What is PUPT?
Pawsibilities Unleashed Pet Therapy (PUPT) of Kentucky is a therapy pet and service dog non-profit organization in Central Kentucky. In addition to doing therapy work with our own animals, we also rescue potential therapy pets, service dogs, and companion animals from local shelters, humane societies, and rescues.

Because the dogs we rescue will have such important jobs, we select our dogs based on the temperament of the animal. Temperament is always our number one priority and any dog that shows us unacceptable temperament is not accepted into our program.

We feel strongly that it is unethical for rescues of any kind to place dangerous dogs.

Our PUPT trainers also offer dog /puppy training classes in obedience, leadership and aggression rehabilitation.

Read our Mission Statement

Facilities
We are based in Frankfort, Kentucky. Many of our rescued dogs live with great foster families through central Kentucky and are waiting to be adopted. Group training classes are held on Saturdays and Tuesdays at our off-site training center.

The training center is located at 1410 Versailles Road, Suite 5, Frankfort, KY 40601
Directions: Take I-64 to exit 58 towards Frankfort, then go 1/2 mile to the Jett Town Plaza just past the Waffle House.

Donations, Sponsors & Volunteers
Our service dog and therapy dog programs are made possible through dononations and sponsorships. Our list of sponsors has included the Make-A-Wish-Foundation, the Frankfort Credit Union, Bluegrass Technology and the Pets Only pet store. Would you like to help sponsor a service dog for a child or adult? All donations are tax deductible. We have lots of volunteer opportunities too. Email us for more information.

We Work With All Breeds
We do not discriminate against dogs based on breed and we do not support breed banning legislation. We believe that dogs should be evaluated and trained on a case-by-case basis.

Dog Bite Policy
We can help rehabilite your aggressive dog through our training program. However, we do not accept aggressive dogs into our rescue/adoption program. Read our Dog Bite Policy >>
