Who We Are
Therapy companions are friendly, obedience trained pets. They and their owner’s have gone through a testing program to earn their certifications as a "Working Team Therapy Companion".
Whether mixed breed pets or purebred, they all contribute to the therapy program and all of them have one thing in common......their owner’s have a desire to help others through pet therapy. People of all ages and illnesses benefit from a visit by a furry friend.
This organization developed because there seemed to be a need in the community for it. People were asking if anyone knew of a pet therapy group they could join or contact for information, and since I am the K-9 Ambassador for the AKC Safety & Canine school program, I was already doing "pet therapy" in the local school systems. It seemed logical to expand my school program into a therapy group so more could be certified and we could cover a larger area of needs.
