Sugar West - Rainbow Bridge
We have a very special "Sugar Bear" which is a Poodle Mix (designer dog called a Bichoodle). After Jody, our 17 year old Poodle mix passed away, I told a friend of mine that volunteered for the local humane society that I was looking for a new, "furbaby". It just happened that they had Sugar. My friend thought she'd be perfect for us. She brought Shug out for me to groom, and even though she was the most pathetic looking little gal I'd seen in a while, there was just something about her that I dearly loved. She was taken to the Humane Society with a litter of 6 week old puppies. Her coat was in terrible condition and she was about starved to death. She hid under the seat on the way home that day. I finally coaxed her out when we got home. She bonded with me immediately and follows me all over the house. Dennis is always asking me to call Sugar... that she cannot find me!!!! She has lived with us for 7 years and is just a sweetheart...and adorable now... when she started class after Buster had been going about 4 weeks. She was a little dog aggressive but she learned real quick to get over that. Now she actually "prances" around the room as if to say, "are you all watching me!!!!" and plays with her other dog friends. She and Paddy Mac our West Highland White Terrier both got their CGC and Therapy certificates after being in training class a very short time.
